Ah. Good to see you post something. I can't say space art is among my favorite genres, but none the less I do appreciate the work put into it and it looks like you gave it a fair amount.

I agree that the red spot looks odd. It looks too smoothly swirled and looses appearance as a solid texture, IMO. And I'm wondering if the light should be less visible behind the moons? It seems that you didn't put quite enough shadow in the space behind them, but I'm really unsure. Like I said, not my forte.

Anyway, nice work overall, VM. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff whenever you get the time (and more importantly willingness) to work on it.

The light would only be slightly affected by the moons, if at all; remember, it's going in front of and behind the moons too. Space isn't two-dimensional, after all.

But yeah, the red spot does look weird. Too smooth and unnatural, but it'd be too hard to fix, so I'm not gonna bother. I'll do better on the next one!

No, calmness isn't a bad thing. If you want to make a more exciting piece perhaps one with a fireball or comet in the foreground would work? Maybe even a fireball that appears like it is headed directly at the viewer?

Thanks, glad you think so.

My problem with it is mainly that there's not a lot going on. To date, I haven't really done much that's exciting and dynamic, but calmness isn't necessarily a bad thing, I suppose...
